Social Media Specialist

Virginia Beach

Our Virginia Beach office is seeking a dynamic and passionate Social Media Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Social Media Director, this person will create paid and organic content and develop strategies for platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and more. We’re looking for a thinker. Someone that can conceptualize campaigns, bring new ideas to the table, and has an eye for engaging content.


  • Create and optimize original content for social platforms and execute daily posting across networks
  • Create social media campaigns, including creative direction, targeting and budget management
  • Manage community engagement
  • Knowledge of social media tools for management and creative development
  • Develop, analyze and deliver client social media reports
  • Maintain proficiency and knowledge of latest social media technologies and best practices (i.e. new tools, algorithm changes, platform enhancements)
  • Participate in internal meetings

Skills & Experience

  • 4-year degree in related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing social media for businesses, agency experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Yelp and Google My Business
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to engage audiences
  • Ability to multitask, balance priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be both a self-starter and a team player
  • Passion for all things social
