Social Media Specialist

Virginia Beach

Our Virginia Beach office is seeking a dynamic and passionate Social Media Specialist to join our creative team. Reporting to the Social Media Director, this person will create paid content and develop strategies for platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.  We’re looking for a thinker. Someone that can conceptualize campaigns and has an eye for engaging content. Design capabilities a big plus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and optimize original content for social platforms and execute daily posting across networks
  • Create social media campaigns, including creative or creative direction, targeting and budget management
  • Manage audience engagement
  • Photography and live video
  • Knowledge of social media tools for management and creative development
  • Develop, analyze and deliver client social media reports
  • Maintain proficiency and knowledge of the latest social media technologies and best practices (i.e. new tools, algorithm changes, platform enhancements)  
  • Participate in client and team meetings

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years experience managing social media for businesses, agency experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Yelp and Google My Business
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to engage audiences
  • Ability to multitask, balance priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be both a self-starter and a team player
  • Passion for all things social
  • Design experience a plus
